|
|
This week many of us will be updating our DAWs to Windows 7 x64.
I noticed in a post by a site admin that testing of FX-Teleport x64 v2.0
was going on last October 2008.
Is v2.0 near to being released?
Has anyone tried FX-Teleport with a RTM Windows 7?
Is there any other work around besides using jBridge?
Thanks, cheers! |

I'll bump this one. My new computer will be here in about a week, but I still have several good machines here that would love to be networked into a powerhouse system. Any idea when FX Teleport will operate in the Windows 7 X64 environment?
Thanks,
Paul |

| I want to know this too. How low can the total latency get with Win7 X64. |

| It's been four years since the last update (and years since we've heard from max), don't hold your breath... |

As good as the original FX is, development support has been a joke.
Hopefully someone else will adopt the idea, charge more money for it so they can have proper updates, including 64bit support. |

...An extremely powerful and reliable alternative exists right now - Vienna Ensemble Pro by Vienna Symphonic Library ( www.vsl.co.at )
This works with Windows 7, XP, 64 bit, 32 bit, as well as OSX
You can load 64 bit plugins with a 32 bit sequencer, or 32 bit plugs in a 64 bit sequencer, run several machines together with different OSs.
It's very very good and stable. |

| Unfortunately Vienne Ensemble Pro does not support Play instruments. And they won't work on Windows 7 64 bit. |

| Check out jbridge. I can't post a URL, but search for that word and you'll find it. |

Hi treble clef,
Are you saying that I can use jbridge to run PLAY instruments on a slave computer using Vienna Ensemble Pro?
How would I set that up? |

In my configuration (1 host windows 7/64 bit and 2 slaves windows 7/32 bit) I got it to work properly as 32 bit application.
I had to do following: set compatibility as winxp sp-2, run host and servers as administrator, disable aero and similar graphic effects.
Hope this helps while waiting for the 64 bit version (it would really be appreciated, its a great product).
Regards. |
